Who amongst us doesnt enjoy a really full-on night "ghost hunting" ? How many of us spend our Saturday nights, when all our friends are partying, sitting in a dark room waiting for not a lot to happen ? Poring over photos looking for that elusive sighting of something more than an "orb" ?
And oh, the thrill of the excitement when contact is finally made, something gets tapped, someone feels their hair being pulled, or a dark shadow crosses the room !
How, then, must it be to earn a living as a professional full-time paranormal investigator and spirit clearance expert ?
One such lucky man is Simon Curwood, organiser of the Spiritual Workers Association, and two times winner of "Wales Most Popular Paranormal Investigator" (we wonder how many times that award has been "thrown" across a room!)
Veteran of over 250 paranormal investigations, Simon has some amazing stories to relate, from the man who kept waking up with coins in his mouth, to the 10ft Barbary ape who took violent exception to table tipping !
Simon said his most shocking investigation was into a 6ft 2ins, 22-stone man thrown around a room in Bridgend. He said: "A bit of our work is entertainment, in that we take in groups and take them on tours at haunted locations. But a lot of it is extremely serious."
If you are interested in hearing more about Simon's experiences, he is visiting Essex-based Inspiral on Saturday the 25th of February, and will be holding an evening of discussion, talking about his experiences and work.
He promises a fascinating evening learning all about his activities, and the do's and dont's of ghosthunting ! A question and answer session will round off what will undoubtedly be a really interesting night.
